The Ekelund family have been purveyors to the Royal Court of Sweden for over a century. A strong tradition - research suggests we may be the oldest family-run textile business in the world - never prevents us from exploring new ways of working. We have joined partnership with nature a long time ago. ‘Sjuhäradsbygden’, the cradle of weaving in Sweden, is home both to our families and what we do. This beautiful setting inspires us every day to work with, never against, the natural environment. So it’s not surprising that we work with only flax and cotton. We can’t think of a more natural way to ensure a sustainable future.
Our products and manufacturing process have been approved by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. As the world's first home-textile company, we introduced third-party environmental control of our products in 1995.
